Barbecued Bratwurst and Beans

Ingredients:

16 ounces Premio , sliced into 1/2-inch
4 cans light red kidney beans drained
2 (14.5 ounce) cans crushed tomatoes
1 cup chopped Vidalia onion
1 cup chopped green bell pepper
1/2 cup light brown sugar
2 teaspoons minced garlic
2 teaspoons olive oil
2 teaspoon sbrown mustard
1.5 teaspoon chili powder

  • Always cook pork sausage to a minimum internal temperature of 160° F using a meat thermometer.
  • Always cook chicken sausage to a minimum internal temperature of 165° F using a meat thermometer.

How to make Barbecued Bratwurst and Beans:

1. Saute onion, bell pepper and garlic in olive oil in a large frying pan. Add Premio Bratwurst, stirring and cooking about 8 minutes. Stir in tomatoes, light brown sugar, mustard, and chili powde; bring to a boil.

2. Add beans, cover and cook over low heat for 10 minutes. Stir occasionally.
