Premio Pasta Toss

Ingredients:

1 package Premio Sweet Basil Italian Sausage, sliced 1/2-inch thick
1 shallot, chopped
1/4 cup olive oil
1 garlic clove chopped
1 (12 ounce) package sliced mushrooms , rinsed
3/4 cup white wine
6 roma tomatoes, chopped
10-12 basil leaves, chopped
Sea salt
1 package angel hair pasta
Parmesan cheese

  • Always cook pork sausage to a minimum internal temperature of 160° F using a meat thermometer.
  • Always cook chicken sausage to a minimum internal temperature of 165° F using a meat thermometer.

How to make Premio Pasta Toss:

1. Heat large skillet; add olive oil, shallots, and garlic. Sautee 1-2 minutes on medium heat.

2. Add Premio Sausage to the skillet and saute for 3-4 minutes, until sausage is browned on both sides. Add mushrooms and white wine; stir. Add sea salt to taste.

3. Simmer, uncovered, for 1-2 minutes, until white wine is reduced to half. Add roma tomatoes and chopped basil; cover and simmer 10 minutes.

4. Prepare angel hair pasta according to package directions; drain. Serve sauce over angel hair pasta and top with parmesan cheese.
