PREMIO Grilled Brats with Roasted Pears

Ingredients:

2 packages Premio Sausage (choose your favorite)
4 Sickle or Bosc pears, sliced thin
1/2 stick unsalted butter
4 sprigs fresh rosemary
1/3 cup maple syrup
Salt

  • Always cook pork sausage to a minimum internal temperature of 160° F using a meat thermometer.
  • Always cook chicken sausage to a minimum internal temperature of 165° F using a meat thermometer.

How to make PREMIO Grilled Brats with Roasted Pears:

1. In a large pan, heat butter until hot. Add pears and sauté until caramelized, about 10-15 minutes. Halfway through cooking, add the rosemary sprigs and continue to sauté and toss with the pears.

2. While this is sautéing, grill the Premio Sausage on BBQ or grill pan. Once done, slice each sausage into 5 pieces (you can grill the sausage before and have them ready when the pears are caramelized). Add the sausage to the pan and toss with the pear mixture.

3. Add the maple syrup and toss until thoroughly mixed, about 4-5 minutes. Pour on a plate and take out rosemary sprigs. Sprinkle some kosher salt and serve.
