Sloppy – The Premio Way

Ingredients:

1 pound Premio Hot Italian Sausage
1 small onion, chopped
1 (8 ounce) can tomato sauce
1/4 cup ketchup
1/4 cup BBQ sauce
1 tablespoon firmly packed brown sugar
1 teaspoon dry mustard
Salt and pepper, to taste
1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
1 tablespoon vinegar
Italian rolls

  • Always cook pork sausage to a minimum internal temperature of 160° F using a meat thermometer.
  • Always cook chicken sausage to a minimum internal temperature of 165° F using a meat thermometer.

How to make Sloppy - The Premio Way:

1. Remove casings from Premio Sausage. In a large skillet, place sausage and onion; cook until sausage is browned. Drain.

2. In a large pot, combine all ingredients; simmer for about 25 minutes. Remove from pot and serve on Italian rolls.
